Empower Sports Network, a New Jersey-based nonprofit dedicated to providing competitive athletic events and employment opportunities for individuals with special needs, is seeking an experienced Fundraising Specialist to join our team. Our organization, created by adaptive athletes for adaptive athletes, is driven by a commitment to inclusivity and empowerment.

Position Overview:

We’re looking for a dynamic, mission-driven individual to develop and execute fundraising strategies that will support the growth of Empower Sports Network. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cultivating donor relationships, organizing fundraising events, managing grant applications, and contributing to strategic financial goals.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement fundraising campaigns and initiatives to reach specific revenue goals

• Build and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, community partners, and local businesses

• Research, write, and submit grant proposals in alignment with our mission and vision

• Plan and manage fundraising events, including virtual and in-person events

• Collaborate with the team to develop marketing materials and outreach plans

• Track and analyze fundraising data to optimize future strategies

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

• 3+ years of experience in fundraising or development, preferably within the nonprofit sector

• Demonstrated success in reaching fundraising targets and securing grants

• Strong communication and networking skills

• Experience working with or advocating for people with special needs is a plus
